Our Story

Neyla continues to delight the senses as they move their restaurant from Georgetown, D.C. to The Reston Town Center in a new design that is innovatively crafted, with a warm, modern, yet rustic environment.

Our Story

A Bistro, A Bar, A Place where old world leisure combines with new world convenience, so whether you dine with us, carry out a Mediterranean salad, have a gathering in our private dining room or have us cater to you, you can anticipate garden fresh vegetables, select cheeses, meats and fish prepared with an Eastern Mediterranean influence. Each dish will have distinctive flavors that are unique to NEYLA with subtle spiced sauces. Coriander, cinnamon, basil, thyme, and coffee with cardamom enrich the cuisine and speak to its heritage.

The cuisine, d├ęcor and ambience blend traditionalism and modernism with comfort and innovation.

Do you remember Souheil from Georgetown's Neyla? Restaurants are Souheil's passion, they are in his blood. He strives to enhance guest satisfaction and elevate standards of service, keeping the guest in the forefront of all he does. Souheil exemplifies the charm and class that defines hospitality.

Born in Morocco, Souheil spent a majority of his childhood and high school years working in kitchens and dining rooms during which time he developed a strong acumen for restaurants and hospitality. Fluent in English, French and Arabic, Souheil brings a culmination of international experience to the table, making him well suited for the melding of cultures in the Reston community. Souheil is the "heart" behind what makes Neyla special.

Chef Erich von Gehren is a seasoned chef for more then thirty years and the executive Chef and creator of the new NEYLA menu.

Erich moved to the Eastern Mediterranean where he has opened many restaurants and learned the finer details of authentic Lebanese Cuisine. While in the states he has conceptualized and opened critically acclaimed dining icons in and around Washington, DC including Paolo's, Georgia Brown's, J.Paul's and Old Glory.

What Is the dress code?

NEYLA is your neighborhood bistro. We welcome you in what you find most fitting and comfortable for the occasion in which you are joining us.

What is parking like?

We are in the Reston Town Center and there is plenty of free parking in the surrounding area parking lots.

What is the most convenient method of Public Transportation to NEYLA?

The new SILVER LINE Metro takes you to Wiehle-Reston East and from there the FAIRFAX CONNECTOR takes you right to the Reston Town Center.

Is Your Chef able to accommodate dietary restrictions?

We strive to ensure that all guests are able to dine with us, regardless of their dietary restrictions. We request that you let us know upon making your reservation of any allergies and/or other restrictions you may have so that we may inform the Chef and do our very best to accommodate them. Should you or your guests have any severe allergies or restrictions, we would highly recommend your taking extreme caution in dining in our establishment, as we do prepare seafood, products with nuts, and other foods that are common allergens, and therefore cannot guarantee traces may not be present. Please let your server know of all allergies and dietary restrictions when dining with us.

Are children welcome at NEYLA'S?

We welcome guests of all ages, and have a special Kid's Menu awaiting your arrival! We welcome the family, school groups, and church groups, especially if you're on vacation or visiting the area for a special occasion. We will do our very best to accommodate any special requests for children and work to ensure their experience with us is memorable and fun!

Do you accommodate large parties, private parties or buy outs?

Large parties and groups are most definitely welcome at NEYLA'S. We have a private room that has AV equipment in it and is perfect for large groups, cocktail receptions and private events up to 50 guests. As well, we welcome buyouts for parties of 150-200 should you wish to make your event completely private. Buyouts have use of the entire restaurant, and may have a band or live music if desired. Let us know more about what you have in mind and we'll contact you with more information.
